APPIS Innovator Program 2024 winner

The Breast Health Foundation is thrilled to announce that their Breast AI system initiative has been selected as one of the three winners of the 2024 APPIS Innovator Program.

This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the BHF team in addressing health literacy and shaping policy. They are grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact on communities around the world and thank everyone who has supported them along the way.

BHF’s AI-based initiative aims to improve health literacy and health outcomes by providing personalised assessments of breast cancer risk factors and symptoms, and empowering individuals to seek screening and help where appropriate. BHF aims to expand their reach, develop targeted interventions, and strengthen partnerships to enhance the effectiveness of their initiatives through their partnership with the APPIS Innovator Program.

About APPIS Innovator Program

There are huge disparities and a lack of health equity across the Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, leaving many people struggling to access the healthcare they need, when they need it.

The Alliance & Partnerships for Patient Innovation & Solutions (APPIS) platform, organised and funded by Novartis, was established in 2021 to bring patient communities and key stakeholders in the healthcare ecosystem together to prioritise action towards addressing barriers to access for patients in the region.

Since its inception, over 3 000 people across more than 65 countries, including 400 patient organisations, policy makers, payers, physicians, academics, and digital innovators, have come together on the APPIS platforms to share ideas and collaborate on patient innovation and solutions.

Through the Innovator Program, APPIS partners with patient organisations to help scale their innovative patient solutions to bring them close to achieving their mission of helping more patients have better access to healthcare.
