The 18th National SASCRO SASMO Congress was held from 4 – 6 August 2017, at Sandton Convention Centre, with approximately 1 200 delegates attending. Both Buddies For Life/Oncology Buddies and Breast Health Foundation were in attendance.
The co-chairs Michiel Botha (South African Society of Clinical and Radiation Oncology), Georgia Demetriou and Adam Nosworthy (South African Society of Medical Oncology), and Biance Rowe (South African Children’s Cancer Study Group) agreed that this year’s congress offered a valuable opportunity for the delegates to come together, allowing to share their wealth of ideas and allow for inspired learning.
Well done to Rhyno Kriek, the congress organiser, for organising such a well-run trade exhibition and event. The next congress will take place from 9-11 August 2019.
