A Tribute to Buddies’ Autumn Super Survivor, Sally Roberts

After a protracted battle with metastatic breast cancer, Sally Mary Roberts died at the age of 45. She leaves behind her life partner, Noel Roach; father, Peter Roberts (81); mother, Carol Roberts (70); and her sister Anna.

Sally was born on May 11, 1970 in Salzburg, England. Her background was account management and skills development. Sally was a driven professional with a secret love for crafting – working with natural elements, making jewellery. When diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006, she remained dedicated in her work and in her will to fight her illness. She remained a brave, iron-willed woman, even throughout her final months.

A celebration of Sally’s life was held at St Peter’s College in Sandton on the afternoon of Monday, 26 October 2015. Sally requested to be cremated.

A lasting memory for Noel about Sally: “I’ll always remember Sal’s unrelenting positiveness and fight of her disease. Sally always had a big smile and never complained about her lot, she always cared about others first!”
